In full production, but has been superseded by newer DS110x devices.

The DS100 is Tibbo's original "blue shell" serial device server. The device can be used to quickly network-enable virtually any serial device or system.

The DS100 is compatible with Tibbo Device Server Toolkit (TDST) for Windows. TDST includes the Virtual Serial Port Driver (VSPD), which enables you to use the serial ports of Tibbo device servers as remote COM ports of your PC. The Linux version of the VSPD is available as well.

The DS100 is available in two versions: DS100R with the RS232 port and DS100B with the universal RS232/422/485 port.

    • DS100R: RS232 port (TX, RX, RTS, and CTS lines).
    • DS100B: RS232/422/485 port:
      • RS232 mode: RX, TX, RTS, CTS, DTR, and DSR lines;
      • RS422 mode: RX+/-, TX+/-, CTS+/-, and RTS+/- lines;
      • RS485 mode: RX+/-, TX+/- lines, automatic direction control.
  • Four LEDs:
    • Green and red status LEDs on top of the device;
    • Link and collision Ethernet status LEDs on the network side.
  • Power: 12VDC (9 ~ 16V).
  • Dimensions (LxWxH): 95 x 57 x 30mm.
  • Operating temperature range: -5 ~ +70°C.
  • Firmware is upgradeable through the serial port or network.
  • CE- and FCC-certified (see PDF files on the right).
