Serial-over-IP (SoI) on Tibbo IoT Modules

Tibbo's current lineup of embedded SoI modules includes four offerings: WM2000, EM2000, EM1206, and EM510.

The EM2000, EM1206, and EM510 are wired-first devices featuring an Ethernet port; Wi-Fi and BLE ports can be added by connecting the WA2000 add-on module. The WM2000 is a wireless module with Wi-Fi and BLE interfaces built in.

All four modules are general-purpose Tibbo BASIC and C-programmable devices that can be loaded with our open-source serial-over-IP (SoI) application.

All Tibbo SoI modules are compatible with Tibbo Device Server Toolkit (TDST) for Windows. TDST includes a Virtual Serial Port Driver (VSPD), which enables you to use the serial ports of SoI modules as remote COM ports of your PC. A Linux version of the VSPD is available as well.
