Job Opening: Automation & Test Engineer

Location: Taipei, Taiwan (No remote work option)

Eligibility:

• Open to Taiwan nationals and foreigners residing in Taiwan
• Relocation will be considered for exceptional candidates from other countries
• Requires proficiency either in English or Chinese (Mandarin)

Role Summary:

• Design and deploy test fixtures for our products
• Maintain existing test fixtures
• Automate Tibbo's assembly and test operations
• Substantial hands-on work to assemble, wire up, debug, and test the fixtures
• Occasional travel around Taiwan may be necessary

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in software and/or hardware testing
• Ability to learn new programming languages, software tools, libraries, etc.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics), Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to receive the necessary knowledge from colleagues, design files, and source code
• Familiarity with electronic circuit design, including schematics and PCB layout
• Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools (Solidworks, etc.)
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (C, Python, etc.)

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Ability to design robust test flows and consider the worst-case scenarios to improve the test coverage
• Familiarity with Linux and Raspberry Pi
• Hands-on experience with 3D printers, laser cutters, and other fabrication tools
• Ability to document your creations
• Understanding of GIT repositories
• Familiarity with IT and networking
• At least some command of Mandarin Chinese (if you are not a native Mandarin speaker)
