Elnetron LTD

Elnetron is based off Athens, Greece, and has existed since the early 80s. The company first started building custom systems for factory automation, and with time, moved to telematics. It has been marketing Tibbo-based products since 2009, and has developed products based on Tibbo's EM1000, EM203 and EM1206. Here are three of the products:

TeleSupervisor (Net I/O Controller) V3

This device is based on EM1206, but the software runs on EM1000 as well. It features 2 outputs (SPST relays), 2 isolated inputs, and 2 serial (RS232) ports, which can receive data from sensors such as thermometers, hydrometers, pressure gauges, and more.

The outputs are controlled by the user from the Internet, by a programmed range of values of the serial inputs and/or in user defined time intervals. LEDs indicate the status. Like every Tibbo-based device, this one can programmed from Internet.

The device includes a built-in web server which can be used to manually override the program and control the device remotely.

ProtocolAlter (RS232/Wi-Fi converter) V1

Expansion board

This is a serial-to-Wi-Fi converter, based on EM1206 with a GA1000 add-on. It provides a Virtual Serial Port over the air.

ProtocolAlter (RS232/Wi-Fi converter) V2

This is an improved version of the RS232/Wi-Fi converter. It's aimed at field applications where power is not available and battery operation is necessary. It can be programmed through the RS232 port.

Expansion board

A low signal in the input or pressing the button sets the device in programming mode. An ASCII string from the RS232 determines the operation parameters, such as Access Point name, WEP key, IP address, etc.

It detects the strength of the receiver’s signal, selects which Wi-Fi network to communicate with, etc.

It is a great device for data acquisition systems. Once there is no data transfer within a given time period, or after a command, the Wi-Fi connections terminate to conserve energy.

The connection state can be seen on some TTL pins of the extension connector.
